Emotion and Elevation in the Heart of Vianden

From the start, riders are immersed in an atmosphere steeped in history and challenge. From the heart of Vianden, the circuit begins with a spectacular and immersive cobbled climb, guiding participants up to Vianden Castle, guardian of the area for centuries. This opening section immediately emphasizes the authenticity of the adventure, where history and landscape intertwine.

Leaving the castle on the right, the route enters the Vianden forest for a gradual ascent over approximately 10 kilometers to the highest point of the course at 510 meters elevation.

The descent that follows alternates between paved sections and forest trails, offering a sensation of speed and freedom. Once along the Our River, the course invites a playful and fast moment on a winding trail, descending back toward Vianden. This 23.5 km loop takes you across the finish line for the first time before starting the German loop.

Rhythm and Escape Through the Woods

Participants set off on the German loop, designed to extend the racing pleasure with an alternation of different terrains and profiles. After a 2-kilometer road climb, this loop offers a completely different feel: the landscapes are gentler, the terrain less demanding, and the rhythm becomes more rolling. Here, the race extends over long gravel sections where cyclists can pick up speed and appreciate the fluidity of the course, in perfect harmony with nature.

On the return, the circuit crosses the border again in the middle of the forest, and participants experience a unique atmosphere along the river on a greenway. This section brings riders back to the center of Vianden to start the Luxembourg loop once again.

A course where each segment has its own identity: between demanding climbs, fast descents, dense forests, and rolling sections, Eislek Gravel Luxembourg promises a blend of thrilling sensations and connection with exceptional landscapes.
